Once you have evened out your complexion in steps
two
and three, you are ready to add some color. Choose a
powder blush (rather than liquid or cream), which works
best over foundation and loose powder.
Select a shade to complement your skin tone: subtle
rose
for light skin, rose/subtle plum for medium skin, or deep
rose/plum/bronze for dark skin. Fluff a clean brush into
blush and then lightly over the apples of your cheeks and cheekbones.
Blend any excess with a cotton ball or tissue
for a natural look. A local beauty professional or cosmetologist
at a LGFB group program
can also help you select
contour shades to offset facial puffiness or gauntness.
Since blush brushes aren’t disposable, be
sure to wash yours regularly in shampoo (not antibacterial soap
or alcohol, which can cause damage) and air-dry overnight to prevent
bacteria.
