As a friend or family member to a person in cancer
treatment, you know to be supportive. But exactly how to do that
may seem confusing at times. The American
Cancer Society and other organizations
offer a wide variety of information and materials to help you understand
cancer and its physical and psychological impact — even on
you.
The
following three booklets, recommended by Look Good…Feel Better
staff, are available free from the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services by calling 1-800-4-CANCER. Or visit the National
Cancer Institute Web site to learn more.
